Why Do an Internship?

Internship is generally the very first, look alike, job that we peruse. Or rather a major path, that we should take into a serious consideration. Internship as said before is pretty much like a job, at times unpaid or with minimum pay scale. But what you learn in it is priceless. Internship shows you a very big way and teaches you what your job exactly is. Before you jump into a large scale real time job, internship gives you a flavor of it.

Here are few reasons why doing internship rocks, before you land into an actual job.

1)      Experience: Internship’s major goal is to let you gain a real time experience. It lets you try your hands on exactly what you were dreaming to be in.  You gain a lot, a lot of experience that would be beneficial to you once you do an actual job.

The best part of the internship is you learn from your mistakes and yet nobody tells you anything. It is generally considered as a part of your learning experience.

2)      Building your own professional network: when you do an internship, you land up in the middle of a professional environment. Here you get to meet up people; right from managers to ceo’s and so on so forth. This helps you to create a professional network of your own. This network will help you in future, once you are in this real world of job. Having this connections might not just help you solving issues related to work, but might just get you a better offer. So, the next time you think of an internship, don’t forget to create you connections.

3)      Resume builder: Your resume is your face when not in the interview room. It speaks everything about you. Who you are, and where you belong from…all! So having a heavy resume is always recommendable. And what’s better than your resume saying about your internship. This gives a very strong impression on you first job interview. Make your CV Strong by putting your detailed Internship status.

4)      Time Management: One major thing that an internship teaches you is time management. This is very crucial, when it comes to a real time job. You have to be always on your toe, ready and set for any type of work that you are given. And for being industry ready, professional time management is very important.

5)      Career foundation: yes! This the most important part of your internship.  Like a baby is always sent to a pre-school before he/she attends actual, real time school, in the same manner the internship would be your pre job experience, creating a strong foundation of your professional career.

These were just few basic points, but there is a lot more apart from all these.  Putting it in a nutshell, we can conclude that internship plays a major role in your career building. Moreover, while you are doing an intern, you can always choose or shift your career, depending upon your likings and taste.

Now, are you thinking to join up an internship now? Did this blog help you? Do you want to include any other points?  Do write back to us, we appreciate criticism.
